When was the last time you went on a trip?  Going on a trip can be fun and exciting, especially if you’re with loved ones and going to a place you haven’t been to.  The trip can be just one day, an overnighter, or a couple of days, but still, there’s always an element of thrill and anticipation when going on a trip.  Of course, it’s not always the same, especially if the trip means being separated from your loved ones, but nonetheless, whatever the nature of the trip, it important to prepare for it.

There are a number of preparations involved when going on a trip, but it’s not complicated, at least it doesn’t have to be.  One just needs time and know-how to do it right.  If you’re traveling abroad, you need to have a passport.  Snicavera asked the Answers community what are the requirements to getting a passport and peppermint patty shared to her the list.  In another question, CPG clarified that we can’t apply for a passport online, what we can do is download the application form.  Sheexxiii <3 asked when is the best time to pack your bags for a trip and rchaney73 wisely advised her to first make a list of what you need to build then start packing a few days before you leave.  Camper shares further advice in packing your stuff, he said it’s always best to roll your clothes because it creates less wrinkles.  Put them in bundles inside zip-lock bags so it wont’ get wet in case something liquid in your bag leaks, and you can always use the bags to put your dirty clothes in.

One important advice crombieqtpy15 shared is to make sure to know what you can and cannot bring inside the plane.  I remember an incident in one of my trips where a guy had to leave behind a very expensive perfume because he forgot he can’t bring liquids inside the plane.  .Frequently*Dazzled. also shared some must-brings in your carry-on bag or hand carry so you won’t get bored while waiting in the airport or during your flight.  Some essentials she shared are books, MP3 player, light snacks and an extra pair of clothes in case your luggage gets lost.

May I also share that you better do your homework before leaving and try to find out what the weather is in your destination so you’ll know if you have to bring an umbrella and a raincoat or some shades and sun block.  Answers gets a lot of questions and answers on travel-related topics because the best advice you can get on this subject is based on experience.  And we know that this is exactly what we can expect from Answers.
