I have always wanted to read and answer questions raised about the Philippines. But I could not find most of them. Now I know. Thanks.

@wheng - Hi wheng, I see you have a question. The best place to post it is in Yahoo! Answers. I'm sure the community will love to help you out with your query. The comment section in the blog is basically for feedback and discussion with anything and everything related to Answers. Hope this helps, thanks!

@DavidaH - Thanks for the suggestion DavidaH. Although I can't promise you anything regarding the implementation of your suggestions (as you probably may know, it takes time to implement these kinds of changes), I've already forwarded your suggestions to our Product Manager for consideration.

@Love9012 - Thanks for suggesting that Love9012! Actually, we've been thinking about that fore quite some time already. Hearing it from users like you give us more reason to consider implementing such a change. If we ever allow users to post in Filipino here in Yahoo! Philippines Answers, I will definitely announce it immediately here in the blog. :)

@annabelle p - Thanks for sharing your views Annabelle. As I mentioned to DavidaH, your suggestions have been forward to our Product Manager already who will consider this among the upgrades we are planning for Answers. I understand where you're coming from so let's wait and see how this issue is resolved. Please feel free to always share to us your ideas and feedback.

@dessie lopez - Hi Dessie, thank you for expressing your concern and opinion. It's a good thing to be protective in the Internet, especially for your kids. That's why we have the "Report Abuse" button, to prevent any form of behavior in Answers that is against the Community Guidelines. Our challenge now is to prevent users who abuse the "Report Abuse" button and use it against a person instead of a means to maintain order in the community. But as mentioned, we're continuously working hard to ensure that Answers remain a safe, fun and a positive place for all users.

It's not a good idea to remove the icon of notification for abuse. this symbol is international for abuse in the internet it's a protection for our children who knows surfing in the net. in either case if this icon is seen by everybody the person who will read the others comments which i do we can distinguish such comment whether it is abuse or not therefore we cannot just use this icon to report an abuse when the matter didn't past into action and the person concerned of the matter if she's adult and knows what's she's getting herself into we the readers can't save her but she. for the children it's parents consent whom they have to obey and parents should do their responsibility to their children.
the word abuse commonly use for sexual incitations persuading a person to respond to this form of advert or message. on the otherhand we cannot report abuse for a message that provokes angers if I get my self right. so my own opinion is that i suggest that the icon should remain where it is, in case of a real abuse of sexual incitations then we just click onto it.

I second DavidaH's suggestion to remove the report abuse button. It only encourages users to abuse that privilege by wrongful and malicious reporting not of questions or answers but of the asker or answerer on the grounds they dislike him/her. They use it as a tool for revenge or for stirring controversy in the community. It's no use appealing to the Yahoo team; they always take the side of the reporter. Sorry but it's the truth and a fact.

Can you please do away with the Thumbs down button. Also please remove the report abuse button from all but the asker of the question. We should be the only ones to say if the answer don't really answer the question we asked not anyone else.
